New Year's Eve at Choeng Mon Beach 2026: Two-Round Beachfront Event with Fire Show & Midnight Bay Fireworks

The Blue Spice runs a confirmed two-round New Year’s Eve event on 31 December 2026. Round 1 (18:00–20:30, arrivals 18:00–19:15) includes the beach fire show and suits families with children and guests celebrating midnight elsewhere. Round 2 (21:00–01:00, arrivals 21:00–23:00) features Thai dancing performers and live saxophone; at midnight, fireworks from the five-star hotels along Choeng Mon Bay — Kimpton Kitalay Samui, SALA Samui Choengmon, and Melíá Koh Samui — are visible from beachside tables. There is no fire show in Round 2. Guests choose one round when booking.

Food: à-la-carte from the full menu is available in both rounds. Optional set menus for two persons: Seafood Set THB 4,290 or Thai Set THB 1,750 — both plus 7% VAT, no service charge. A non-refundable ticket deposit is charged at booking: THB 500 per person aged 13+, THB 250 aged 4–12, free for children aged 3 and under.

After Round 1, same-beach hotel guests walk back to SALA (next door), Royal Muang (~4 min), Melíá (~5 min), or Kimpton (~5 min). Those wishing to see the hotel midnight fireworks can watch from the beach or hotel grounds independently. Mention any fire-show table preference when booking.

Round 2 is for guests who want to be at The Blue Spice at midnight — couples, late-evening diners, and anyone wanting the midnight bay fireworks from a beachside table. Arrivals: 21:00 to 23:00. Entertainment throughout the evening is Thai dancing performers and live saxophone. There is no fire show in Round 2.

At midnight, fireworks from Kimpton Kitalay Samui, SALA Samui Choengmon, and Melíá Koh Samui light the bay — visible from The Blue Spice. These are the hotels’ own arrangements, not organised by The Blue Spice; timing and scale may vary. Request a bay-facing table when booking if the midnight view matters. Round 2 runs until 01:00; same-beach guests walk home without needing a taxi on the year’s busiest night.

À-la-carte from the full dinner menu is available throughout both rounds. Two optional set menus for two persons: the Seafood Set at THB 4,290 or the Thai Set at THB 1,750 — both plus 7% VAT, no service charge. Ordering a set menu is not obligatory; guests may order à-la-carte, a set menu, or both.

Confirm the specific dishes in each set menu when booking — details may be finalised closer to the date. Communicate dietary requirements when reserving; the kitchen operates at full capacity on New Year’s Eve.

A non-refundable ticket deposit is charged at booking confirmation: THB 500 per person aged 13 and above, THB 250 per person aged 4 to 12, free for children aged 3 and under. This is the booking fee for the chosen round — not a credit against food and drink. Food and drinks are billed separately; 7% VAT applies, no service charge.

When reserving: state the round (1 or 2), the number of guests in each age group, any table preference (fire-show sightlines for Round 1; bay-facing for Round 2), and any dietary requirements or special occasion. Book as early as possible — both rounds have limited capacity and best-positioned tables fill first. Groups of six or more should contact the venue early.

Choeng Mon is quiet and structured on New Year’s Eve compared to Chaweng, which runs communal countdown events, bars, and clubs into the early morning. The right choice depends on what you want: Chaweng for late-night social energy; Choeng Mon for a managed beachfront event with a clear programme and walkable hotel returns for same-beach guests.

December evenings at Choeng Mon are typically warm (23–27°C), comfortable, and dry on this northwest-facing coast. The Blue Spice has covered seating. The bay is naturally sheltered.
